BEHAVIOR ANALYST or BCaBA?
INTRODUCTION:
The purpose of this job description is to define the authority, responsibilities, duties, reporting relationships, and measures of performance for a Behavior Analyst at Eberths Behavioral Group LLC.
Behavior Analyst provides direct person-centered behavioral services in areas including children’s programs, as needed. Behavioral services include behavioral support planning, direct intervention, and skill development. The Behavior Analyst/BCaBA also provides staff training (RBT) and family and oversight of plan implementation.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
• Conduct functional behavioral assessments and reassessment.
• Develop, implement and monitor behavioral support plans and individualized treatment plans
• Perform skills assessments (ABLL’s / AFLS’s / VB-MAPP)
• Provide one-on-one direct instruction.
• Complete progress reports and progress notes.
• Graph and analyze data.
• Create a graphical visualization of the data.
• Prepare clinical notes of the visit describing the contact with the consumer, the interventions and the objectives for each session.
• Train the RBT and parents / caregivers and measure performance through competency checks.
• Prepare monthly written summary reports that include graphs on data collected and competency checks, and recommendations.
• Conduct support staff, training of parents and teachers.
• Participate in operations of the assigned program.
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and Reassessment and develop behavioral-based behavioral support plans using evidence-based methods.
• Provide opportunities for consultation, teaching and training to members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Prepare summaries of the client’s progress report for response to the intervention.
• Participate in all aspects of crisis management until resolution.
• Communicate important behavior information to parents / guardians and professionals of the multidisciplinary team.
• Create / use databases.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or other related field.
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavior challenges.
• Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism, Developmental Delay, Global Developmental Delay, ADHD, Autism and Autism Spectrum.
• Experience working with individuals who are dually diagnosed with developmental disabilities and mental health.
• High level of organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively (both autonomously and as part of a team).
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
TRAINING:
Proof of annual or required updated training in behavior analysis shall be maintained on file for review. The Behavior Analyst is responsible for all training requirements outlined in the Core Assurances and for other mandatory trainings.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Outstanding social skills, good verbal and written communication skills, intuitive analytical abilities, training or coursework in developmental disabilities, knowledge of state, HIPPA, and Medicaid regulations, ability to handle multiple activities at the same time, access to computer and an e-mail address, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to make accurate and timely decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Complete a time sheet for each visit signed by the caregiver, guardian, or competent adult
• Become familiar services plan (BASP)
• Implement, behavioral procedures for reduction of problematic behaviors; Implement behavioral procedures for acquisition of replacement skills.
• Report any incidents of Client Rights, Zero Tolerance, Health/Safety/Welfare violations; Begin Incident reports for any Abuse/Neglect situations observed or reported to you, and inform the BCABA/BCBA/Licensed professional immediately
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
• Track hours of service and stay within the budgeted time frame
• Provide behavior data, graphic display, and monthly progress report by e-mail to the BCBA, BCaBA or Licensed Consultant on the last day of the month
• Provide the completed documentation required by the agency in the time established of each month
• Following the first 60 days of employment, and quarterly thereafter:
o Participate in a formal performance review with the BCBA/BCABA/ Licensed Consultant and the Clinical Director.
o Attend meetings as Policies or Procedures Change.
o Maintain a home office with access to Computer/e-mail and copying capabilities
o Return phone calls within 4 hours and e-mails within 24 hours
o Notify BCBA/BCaBA/Licensed Consultant and Clinical Director of BCBA of Vacation time to post in agency calendar.
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:
The Behavior Analyst will be deemed to be operating in an effective manner when each of the responsibilities, as outlined above, are completed in an effective and timely manner, and when there are no regulatory concerns or complaints from the consumers or their families or caregivers.

INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this job description is to define the authority, responsibilities, duties, reporting relationships, and measures of performance for a Registered Behavior Technician at Eberth’s Behavioral Group, LLC
POSITION OVERVIEW
The basic function of the Registered Behavior Technician is to provide one-on-one activities related to the delivery of the behavior analysis services for a consumer for whom traditional residential habilitation services have been documented unsuccessful or are considered to be inappropriate for health or safety reasons and for children who require behavioral services but for whom providing services in the family home will likely be more effective and less restrictive. Services should be provided in the setting(s) relevant to the behavior problems being addressed. Services should be provided for a limited time and discontinued as the caregivers gain skills and abilities to assist the consumer to function in more independent and less challenging ways. Registered Behavior Technician services for children should supplement and support, transfer stimulus control and generalize behavior change, the acquisition and reduction plans designed and implemented by the primary source of services for children- the education system.
The overall performance of the Registered Behavior Technician will be based on his/her ability to accomplish delegated responsibilities with minimal supervision and direction to quickly identify problems in the individual’s setting, advise the BCBA, BCABA, or Licensed Professional as needed so that corrective action can be taken, keep the Director informed of activities in the field, and maintain all state and other regulatory standards as required by the company.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Registered Behavior Technicians must be at least 18 years of age and have demonstrated completion of high school or equivalent/higher.
EXPERIENCE
At least two years of experience providing direct services to consumers with developmental disabilities or at least 120 hours of direct services to consumers with complex behavior problems, as defined in Chapter 65B-4.031 (2), F.A.C., or 90 classroom hours of instruction in applied behavior analysis from non-university, non-college courses 20 contact hours of instruction in the following areas:
• Introduction to applied behavior analysis basic principles and functions of behavior
• Providing positive consequences planned ignoring, and stop-redirect-reinforce techniques
• Data collection and charting
• Either a certificate of completion or a college or a university transcript and a course content description, verifying the Registered Behavior Technician completed the required instruction, will be accepted as proof of instruction
The 20 contact hours of instruction required above may be obtained within the 90 classroom hours of instruction used to meet the requirements above.
TRAINING

SUPERVISION
In general, the amount and nature of supervision required will be dictated by a number of factors including, but not limited to:
• The Registered Behavior Technician’s experience and training with the presenting problem
• The potential for physical risk presented by the behavior involved or the intervention to be used
• The history of the Registered Behavior Technician in intervening successfully under similar conditions
• Contractual stipulations regarding supervision with the Registered Behavior Technician Consultant’s client (by the governmental entity regulating supervision of RBT). Monitored by a person who is certified in behavior analysis or licensed under Chapters 490 or 491, F.S., in accordance with Chapter 65B-4.030 (10), F.A.C.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

AUTHORITY
Registered Behavior Technician as an independent consultant is delegated sufficient authority to successfully accomplish all assigned duties, responsibilities, goals and objectives assigned to the position.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP AND ACCOUNTABILITY
The Registered Behavior Technician reports directly to the BCBA, BCABA, or the Licensed Consultant.

LMHC
INTRODUCTION
• A licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) provides counseling services to patients seeking therapy for mental health issues1.
• Providing psychotherapy to clients group sessions with family members.
• Helping clients identify situations and behaviors that may be interfering with their wellness and recovery process and social level of functioning.
• Developing a treatment plan and setting goals with clients.
• Maintaining documentation according to state and federal guidelines and monitoring a patient’s progress.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide an array of outpatient mental health services to promote individualized patient recovery
• Conduct intakes, individual, group, and family therapy
• Develop service plans and conduct reviews as needed throughout the duration of treatment
• Provide mental health assessments, counseling, referrals, and intervention services
• Complete and maintain documentation in a timely and accurate manner and according to Federal, State and Center guidelines.
• Write reports to court, school, or other community agencies as necessary.
• Follow up with psychiatrists and/or attending physicians in cases involving hospital admissions
• Collaborate with external psychiatric care providers as well as representatives from civic assistance programs to help schedule treatment sessions for those patients who need them.
REQUIREMENTS
• Able to make professional evaluations, decisions, and recommendation for treatment planning and implementation.
• Current practitioner license through the state’s clinical therapy board
• 2 years of experience in counseling or mental health services
• Able to work independently and as a positive member of a team.
• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with mentally or emotionally disabled persons and their families.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable treating both routine and serious mental health illness
• Strong computer literacy skills
